Dr. Ilene K. Winokur, Ed.D.
Ilene Winokur has lived in Kuwait for 30 years and is currently Director of the Foundation Program Unit at GUST and Managing Director of Specialized Solutions, an educational consulting firm based in Kuwait. She taught and was an administrator at the early childhood and elementary levels, in addition to teaching and administration at the college level in private institutions in Kuwait for 20 years. Her academic interests are leadership in practice, transfer of training to the classroom, blended learning and continuing professional development (CPD).
Ilene holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lehigh University and an MBA from the University of Miami, Florida. She also completed ESL certification at the College of New Jersey, and a BA in History from State University at Buffalo, New York.

Mohammed Etedali, PhD (ABD) Applied Linguistics
Mohammad works as a senior English language teacher at Kuwait University. He has been a teacher, a teacher trainer and an independent consultant for over 20 years.

Veronica V. Zvinca has lived in Kuwait for 15 years and is currently teaching English to learners enrolled in the secondary stage at the Ministry of Education of Kuwait. As such, she has gained a rich experience in teaching English to Arab learners. She holds a BA in English language and literature form the Arab Open University and a Master of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Exeter, UK. Her current interests are focused on language learning strategies. She devotes her efforts in implementing and teaching language learning strategies to her learners. A passionate supporter of independent learning, her research focuses on teaching appropriate vocabulary learning strategies to EFL learners as she believes that these will provide a strong and durable foundation for language learning and development.

Dr. Mirna Safi DBA (Doctorate in Business Administration), TD English Literature
Dr. Mirna Safi has extensive experience as an ESL teacher, management and HR professor, marketing and academic researcher, and trainer. Earlier, studying and obtaining her degrees from different countries such as Lebanon, Germany, and France broadened her communication and training skills. She has worked in several universities in Kuwait and Lebanon. Dr. Safi has held several administrative, academic duties in academia. She also has several academic publications in peer reviewed journals and has participated in various conferences. She is a co-author for the book Producing New Knowledge on Entrepreneurship, which was published and released in France in 2013. She is now the Membership chair for TESOL Kuwait.

Dana Winner, MSc Cybersecurity Policy

Author of “Hardware, Software; Womenware”, a memoir covering 55 years of commercial computing, Dana Winner’s multi-disciplinary career spans 40 years of Knowledge and Information Management in government, commercial and not-for-profit organizations. Since 1972 she has designed and implemented IT systems in London and for Governments, including US, Kuwait, Dubai and Iraq, for non-governmental organizations such as United Nations and Islamic Development Bank, as well as for the private sector. She has served as President of TESOL Toastmasters and Active Minds Toastmasters Vice President Public Relations. She has won the District Talk of the Town award twice for articles published in the Arab Times. In the 2013 Kuwait Division Speaking contest she placed second for Humorous and Table Topics speeches, as well as leading a winning team in the 1st Kuwait Toastmasters Debate.

Dr. Elham Abdul Kareem Mohammad, PhD
Elham Abdul Kareem is the Assistant Professor at the public Authority for Applied Education &Training (PAAET). She has over 20 years of experience in public schools, special education, private sector and higher education.
She holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. She has been granted distinguished teacher award in 2002 by the Ministry Of Education of Kuwait. Her research interests focused on curriculum and foreign language teaching and learning. Currently, her research focus is on teaching and learning vocabulary.

Rana Khan is currently working as English Language Instructor at College of Education, Kuwait University. She has earlier been associated with College of Engineering and Petroleum, Kuwait University where she was involved in teaching ESP to Engineering graduates. She has a considerable teaching experience with a varied teaching background spanning from schools in India to Middle East. Rana holds a Master Degree in English Language and Literature along with a Master in Business Administration. In a consistent effort to develop herself professionally, she has also successfully completed a certificate course in ESOL CELTA. She is very passionate about teaching EFL to Arab students as she finds this task very challenging and engaging. She continues to be dedicated to TESOL Kuwait as Board Secretary and wishes to serve its goal of furthering teacher development.

Dr. Hussain Al Sharoufi, PhD
Dr. Hussain Al Sharoufi, Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics in the GUST English Department, participated and presented papers at twenty internationally refereed conferences in USA, UK, Australia, Spain, Italy, Serbia, India, Romania, and Kuwait. He is an active member of TESOL International and TESOL Kuwait. He presented several papers at TESOL International conventions. He reviewed several papers for several international journals, including: Journalism: Theory, Practice & Criticism (Published by SAGE, UK), Journal of Pragmatics (Elsevier-UK) and the International Journal of Applied Educational Studies.

Moli Diva, MA
Moli Diva is a lecturer at Box Hill College. She holds a Masters in English Language and Literature and a specialization in Education and Teaching English as a Second Language from Canada. She has taught in India, Canada and the Middle East. She has presented at various conferences in and around the region. Moli is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and is currently a Doctoral student. Her research interests are teacher welfare and innovative teaching.

Natasha E. Feghali is an artistic Second Language Specialist teacher, DELF/DALF France instructor as well as AIM educator from Canada. Feghali has been teaching for 8 years (one of which was with the Ministère de l'Education National de France where she worked in Bordeaux, Aquitaine) at the primary level and currently in Kuwait at the junior level. She has hosted many workshops, lectures and book talks around education and technology and 21st century learners. Her well received workshops have helped many educators yield positive and encouraging results in their classroom. Feghali has been creating alternative ways of learning with the use of art, culture, technology and more. She is also an award winning free-lance journalist, multi-linguist and film producer. Feghali was born in Canada and is a devout world traveler with a taste for the savoir faire of cosmopolitan living!
